Deckle Edge Literary Festival 2017

It was exciting to be able to participate in South Carolina's Deckle Edge Literary Festival this year. Here are a few highlights from the reading!

Our wonderful readers pictured from left to right: Catherine Ntube, Liz Countryman, Laura Irei, and Carlos Marquez.

Poet Liz Countryman, whose book A Forest Almost was chosen as the winner of the Subito Press Poetry Prize & is forthcoming this year, reads some new poems.

Poet Carlos Marquez, USC Poetry MFA Candidate, reads poems about Catholicism and American Identity.

Poet Catherine Ntube, USC Poetry MFA Candidate, reads "Battlescar," a poem for Varsha Jain, space gynecologist.

Fiction writer Laura Irei, USC Fiction MFA Candidate, reads a hilarious shorty story called "The Baby."

It was a great reading! Thank you, Deckle Edge, for inviting us.
